Apple Plans to Spend More Than $30 Billion with Broadcom to Make More U.S.-Made Chips

Today we are going to be talking about Apple and their plan to spend more than $30 Billion with Broadcom to make more chips in the U.S. 


If you're like me and are wondering “Claire, what does this mean for Apple? What does it have to do with me? And why should I care as a consumer/customer? What does this mean for September and October when Apple releases their products?”


All of your questions will be answered to the best of my ability in this blog today! So let's get into it!


What Is Broadcom?

Broadcom is a technology company that designs computer chips.

These chips help power things we use every day, including smartphones, computers, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and the internet. Even though most people have probably never heard of Broadcom, there's a good chance you've used a device that contains one of its chips.

Apple has worked with Broadcom for many years, and some of the technology Broadcom designs is already used in Apple products.

What Did Apple Announce?

On July 8, 2026, Apple announced that it is expanding its partnership with Broadcom.

As part of the new agreement, Apple expects to spend more than $30 billion over the next several years. Apple says this investment will help produce more than 15 billion chips right here in the U.S.

The company also says the project will help support hundreds of jobs while making Apple's supply chain stronger for the future.

Why Are These Chips So Important?

The Chips are like a brain part of your device. 

These Chips help your iPhone connect to Wi-Fi, pair with Bluetooth devices like AirPods, process information quickly, save battery life, and make many of the features you use every day possible.

Without these chips, devices like the iPhone, iPad, Mac, Apple Watch, and AirPods simply wouldn't work.

Why Is Apple Doing This?

Apple says it wants to make more of these chips in the United States.

One reason is to help build a stronger and more reliable supply chain. In recent years, the technology industry has dealt with chip shortages and manufacturing delays that affected how quickly companies could build new products.

By investing more in U.S. manufacturing, Apple hopes it will have a more reliable way to get the chips it needs for future devices.

This doesn't mean your next iPhone will suddenly become cheaper, but it could help Apple avoid some supply problems in the future.

What Does This Means for the This Is Me Channel?

As someone who's been following almost every Apple announcement this year, this news definitely got my attention.

With September & October just around the corner, I'm paying close attention to everything Apple announces—not just new products, but also news like this that gives us a better idea of where the company is heading.

I won't spoil exactly why this announcement caught my eye, but let's just say it has me thinking a lot about my upcoming Apple plans.

If you've been following This Is Me!, you already know that I have something special planned for Apple season. I'm keeping the details a secret for now, but I think you're going to enjoy what's coming.

For now, all I'll say is... stay tuned. September and October are shaping up to be some of the biggest months on the channel this year, and I can't wait to share everything with you.

My Thoughts


I think that this is a very interesting move for Apple knowing what's going on with the Memory chip manufacturing. As someone who watches the Apple announcement I don't know how this will exactly play out but lets just hope for the best and it wont cause any problems with the product release process.

Even though most customers probably won't notice any changes right away, this investment could help Apple continue making faster, more reliable products for years to come.

It'll be interesting to see how these U.S.-made chips are used in future iPhones, Macs, iPads, and other Apple devices.

This announcement may sound complicated at first, but it's really about one thing:

Apple is investing in the future of its products by helping make more important computer chips in the United States.

 8.13.25 This Is Me Hey guys!  Today is the day where YouTube just released there AI algorithm where they are now going through all of our videos and accounts to see if your under 18 and if you are you are going to be required to upload your ID or Credit Card or A selfie!
