ThisIsMe Blog #11: YouTube ID Verification??? What the heck???
8.13.25 This Is Me Hey guys! Today is the day where YouTube just released there AI algorithm where they are now going through all of our videos and accounts to see if your under 18 and if you are you are going to be required to upload your ID or Credit Card or A selfie! Honestly I dont like that and if you think this is okay because they are '"Protecting kids" They need to do somthing different! They started this a few months ago in Europe and the UK and now it's here in the US! Creators like myself are scared for there channels because some of us look small when we really are older then we look! (if anyone out there can relate let me know! im 4'11 and im 21 and I just went to Vegas for my 21st birthday!) I dont understand why this has to happen! Also can we aknowlage that this is also a 3rd party system they are using so we dont know who could be getting our information! I honestly dont know what to do!
